About Us

The Founder

After earning his bachelor’s degree in history at Columbia, founder Jon Goldstein spent a two year sojourn working in corporate New York. Following this period, he set out to follow his passion for travel and ended up studying for a Masters in Land of Israel Studies and Archeology. In addition to his Masters studies, he simultaneously earned the Ministry of Tourism’s Tour Guiding license.

Jon also works as a free-lance journalist for such periodicals as the Jerusalem Post and Tel Aviv City, writing on Travel, Food, and Arts and Entertainment. He founded Gingi Tours as an avenue to bring the seldom-told stories and hidden gems of Israel to travelers from abroad.

The Company

We believe in bringing the authentic Israel experience that lies beneath to the surface. As such we offer supper clubs with local chefs, rural bed and breakfasts, hidden mountain springs, boutique wineries, goat farms, home breweries, olive oil presses, local crafts festivals and traditional restaurants in small ethnic villages.

Israel has become known as the “Start Up Nation” for its remarkable high tech industry that is the rival of any on earth outside Silicon Valley. We believe in showcasing these achievements with tours of some of the companies leading the way for the 21st century. We offer tours of Intel Israel, Iscar – the company which drew Warren Buffet’s largest international investment, and Better Place – the company spearheading the drive to the electric car.

Gingi Tours works to tailor your trip to maximize your time in the Holy Land. It is our belief that this small part of the world has been central to the history, culture, and religion of mankind from the Cradle of Civilization to the present. The only proper way to explore it is to target specific interests along with the many world heritage sites the country has to offer. Israel has so much, no time can be wasted in its exploration
